Heather Minor of the Good Shepherd Communities Speakers’ Bureau gave a marvelous presentation on Senior Living Options and Costs. The talk was very informative and engaging. Heather welcomed questions from the audience. Given how successful this event was, we will be bringing in more speakers to talk on related topics. Look for the next event on this Website, Facebook, in the Vestal Town Crier, and a senior center near you.
The library is excited to announce that change is coming to the Youth Services Department in September 2019!

Grab your pooch and join us on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. on the Vestal Rail Trail for the Vestal Public Library’s Dog Walk!
This is a FREE event to help promote the library and all it has to offer for the community. All are welcome, humans and pooches alike (though please be sure to adhere to the Rail Trail’s leash rule for dogs!).
The walk will include free goody bags for the first 125 dogs, a gift card and doggie basket drawing (donated by PetSmart in Vestal–must be present to win), a pop-up book sale, and refreshments for purchase at the Coal House Cafe.
This is a rain or shine event! We look forward to seeing you there!
The book for Tuesday, June 11th is The Almost Sisters by Joshilyn Jackson (2017). It is a fictional work about Leia Birch Briggs who is single and finds herself unexpectedly pregnant. Meanwhile, Leia’s grandmother who lives in Birchville , Alabama has started a crisis at a Church picnic brought on by the loss of her filters. This is a bitter sweet novel that will capture your attention from start to finish. We meet in the Conference Room at 6 pm. We hope you can join us.
