Book Club

The Kitchen House  (2010) written by Kathleen Grissom, a New York Times bestselling author writes about a dark secret that took place decades ago before the Civil War on a plantation in Virginia. Lavinia, an orphan arrives at the Kitchen House and is assigned to be an indentured servant. Grissom’s novel treats such themes as race, deep-buried secrets, and family bonds.

Please note that going forward,  the Book Club will meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Next meeting is July 16th, 6pm in the Local History room. All are welcome.
