The library is excited to announce that change is coming to the Youth Services Department in September 2019!
The Youth Services Department will undergo a much needed remodel. This will include a larger department with a more open layout and new furniture.
Stay tuned for more information about this remodel, and thank you for supporting the Vestal Public Library!
Grab your pooch and join us on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. on the Vestal Rail Trail for the Vestal Public Library’s Dog Walk!
This is a FREE event to help promote the library and all it has to offer for the community. All are welcome, humans and pooches alike (though please be sure to adhere to the Rail Trail’s leash rule for dogs!).
The walk will include free goody bags for the first 125 dogs, a gift card and doggie basket drawing (donated by PetSmart in Vestal–must be present to win), a pop-up book sale, and refreshments for purchase at the Coal House Cafe.
This is a rain or shine event! We look forward to seeing you there!
Have you heard the news?! Beginning Friday, April 5, Baby Storytime will now be held EVERY Friday (instead of in seasonal sessions like the the Toddler & Combined Storytimes).
Baby Storytime begins at 10 a.m. and is open to children ages 0-2 and their caregivers. We read simple stories, sing songs, and conclude with open play to help with socialization (for both babies and caregivers!). No registration required.
Did you know that reading aloud to your baby can help develop their language skills? Good reading habits that start early will set the stage for your baby to learn new things down the road!
Please join us for another fun pajama storytime, now on a new night and in a new location!
Caregivers and children can come dressed in their pajamas on Thursday, March 28th, at 6 p.m. in the Meeting Room. We will read some bedtime stories, sing some songs, and do a simple craft to help wind children down for their bedtime. Children will also have the option to have a small, healthy bedtime snack to eat at the program or to take home with them.
Open to ages 2-7. Registration is required. Sign up in person or by calling Youth Services today at 607-754-4243 ext. 3.
